Yeh Chang-Ting was hailed as "honor of Taiwan" and "good blood" by Japan's media. He made his mark soon after he turned professional in 1992. He was 2nd place on Asian Tour Order of Merit and 3rd place on Taiwan Circuit Order of Merit in 1993. He is thus being hailed as Taiwan's rookie of the year.
